Overview

The IT Director of Infrastructure and Network is responsible for the strategic direction, design, implementation, and operational excellence of MV’s enterprise infrastructure and network systems. This role ensures the availability, performance, and security of all infrastructure components, cloud platforms, and network architecture.  The Director will lead a cross-functional team and collaborate with cybersecurity, applications, and business units to deliver resilient and scalable technology services.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and execute the infrastructure and network roadmap aligned with MV’s business goals and IT strategy.
  • Champion a cloud-first, modern architecture approach that supports scalability, security, and operational efficiency 
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and lead innovation in infrastructure and network services.

Infrastructure & Network Operations

  • Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise network and infrastructure systems, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, and SD-WAN 
  • Ensure 24x7x365 monitoring, incident response, and service continuity for all infrastructure components 
  • Lead infrastructure modernization efforts including virtualization, automation, and hybrid cloud integration.
  • Deliver IT excellence across the MV Transportation operation through project and operations delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Applications, Cybersecurity, and IT Service Management leaders and teams.

Team & Vendor Management

  • Lead and mentor a team of network engineers, system administrators, and infrastructure specialists. 
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and SLAs for infrastructure and telecom services.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead and participate in innovation projects while managing the operations project that keep the environment stable

Security & Compliance

  • Collaborate with cybersecurity leadership to ensure infrastructure security, compliance, and incident response readiness 
  • Maintain and enforce infrastructure policies, procedures, and documentation.

Performance & Optimization

  • Establish and track KPIs for system uptime, performance, and support responsiveness.
  • Drive ITIL-based service management practices for change, incident, and problem management.
  • Optimize infrastructure costs through effective budgeting and resource allocation.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 8+ years of progressive IT experience, with 5+ years in infrastructure and/or network leadership roles.
  • Proven experience managing hybrid environments (cloud and on-prem), network architecture, and enterprise systems.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL, ISO, NIST, or other IT governance frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.

 

Preferred Certifications

  • ITIL Foundation or higher
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification
  • Cisco (CCNP/CCIE), VMware, or Microsoft infrastructure certifications
  • AWS/Azure/GCP certifications
