Responsibilities

MV Transportation is currently seeking a Data Analytics Manager who will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and managing Operational and Safety data to drive positive change in daily service delivery. This role involves providing recommendations to enhance service efficiency and performance, as well as compiling and managing data from various systems to inform decision-making processes within the division leadership team. Overall, this position requires proactive engagement in operational, safety, and technical solutions to enhance software functionality and operational deployment.

 

Job Responsibilities

Operational Data Management:

  • Collecting, reviewing, and investigating operational data including Operator alerts in software platforms.
  • Prepare required reports
  • Utilizing the data collected to identify top-performing and low-performing Operators.
  • Prepare/disseminate Operator recognition and prepare/issue behavior correction documentation.
  • Monitor service anomalies including Operator alerts, impending abandoned rides, and unserved rides.
  • Partner with the Supervisor and Manager to recommend service disruption mitigation strategies and strategies to improve service productivity.

 

Safety Data Management:

  • Gathering, analyzing, and managing safety data to prepare required safety reports
  • Reviewing IBSS and initiating coaching/counseling conversations or retraining for safety and efficiency violations.
  • In addition, customer service responsibilities encompass tasks such as monitoring customer service platforms, communicating with customers via phone or email as needed, and researching customer issues with the goal of implementing improvements for future interactions.

 

 

Qualifications

Talent Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, statistics, logistics, or related field or similar amount of experience to adequately serve in this role is preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience, preferably in public transportation or a similar environment.
  • Ability to effectively delegate tasks, provide appropriate supervision, and follow up to department staff.
  • Strong analytical and data management skills to collect, review, and investigate operational data for productivity, safety, and customer service purposes.
  • Certifications according to local contract requirements.
  • Previous training and supervisory experience preferred but not required. 
  • Excellent communication skills to prepare and disseminate reports, recognition, and behavior correction documentation for Operators, as well as to interact with customers via phone or email.

  • Ability to identify top and bottom performing Operators and recommend actions.
  • Proficiency in utilizing software platforms for data collection and analysis.
  • Attention to detail in monitoring service anomalies and recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Capability to collaborate with supervisors and managers to improve service productivity and recommend disruption mitigation strategies.
