Driver Minimum Requirements:
- Must be receptive to positive on-going training/coaching to improve safety performance.
- Strong safe driving history for both personal and/or professional.
- Must possess strong personal integrity and accountability to work with minimal supervision to meet or exceed minimum safety standards.
- Must be of strong moral character, people oriented, attentive, and maintain a bright positive demeanor to meet our mission in providing the best customer service experience to our passengers.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical.
- Must have or be able to obtain a valid Class C Commercial Driver's License with Passenger endorsement (with our provided training) and a valid Department of Transportation Medical Certificate.
- Possess the ability to communicate with the public.
- Must be at least 21 years old to apply.
- Must be able to pass State of Utah lifetime background check.
- We will help you obtain a CDL C. No need to have one to apply! However, you must obtain CDL permit prior to first day of hire.
- Show up reliably on time and fit for duty for every shift assignment consistently
- Drive safely at all times (during bad weather, high stress
- Comply with all safety policies including prohibition of cell phone use
- Work varied shifts including splits, early morning, late evening and some weekends or other special services (hours of operation 4 am to 1 am [the next day])
- Accurately conduct and document vehicle inspections
- Demonstrate excellent customer service and conflict resolution (deescalation) skills
- Manage conflict and/or difficult situations and safely manage emergency situations
- Pick up and drop off passengers according to schedule manifest
- Assist passengers on and off the vehicle and/or provide door to door service
- Secure mobility devices (wheelchairs, car seats, walkers) safely in the vehicle
- Use vehicle equipment such as onboard radio and computer systems (android tablets)
- Follow route assignments and manage last minute changes
- Drive in rush hour traffic and in inclement weather
- Clean out vehicles at the end of each shift
- Wear company provided uniform, safety vest and safety equipment (i.e. winter use of ice cleats)
- Communicate via two-way radio or other communications device with dispatch, supervisors, client and/or emergency services when required
- Accept and record all forms of fare media including cash, tickets, transfers, etc.
- Accurately record trip data such as arrive and depart times, mileage, and passenger counts
