Responsibilities

MV Transportation is currently seeking a Contracts Administrator to join our team. This position is ideal for a highly motivated, detail-oriented candidate with strong administrative skills, contract management experience, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This position will report to the General Manager.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Track and manage all contract requests across multiple departments.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Legal, Operations, Finance, Procurement, IT, HR, Marketing, etc.) to gather necessary information for contract development and execution.
  • Maintain a centralized contract filing system (physical and digital).
  • Coordinate required contract approvals and obtain necessary internal and external signatures.
  • Exercise independent judgment in reviewing contracts for completeness and ensuring all agreements, approvals, and signatures comply with company policies and risk management practices.
  • Monitor contract dates for renewals, expirations, and reporting deadlines.
  • Work independently and exercise discretion in preparing contract summaries and responding to contract-related inquiries.
  • Coordinate with legal counsel in response to legal interpretation requests and handling contract disputes.
  • Prepare standard agreement templates and assist with drafting contract terms as needed.
  • Support audits and reporting activities by providing relevant contract data and documentation.

Qualifications

Talent Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) with experience in contract administration, legal support, procurement,  or similar role also considered.
  • Previous use of contract management, electronic signature, and document tracking software a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Must be results oriented and thrive in a deadline driven environment.
  • Must have excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, results orientation, and thrive in deadline driven environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Powerpoint, Sharepoint, etc.), Adobe Acrobat, and DocuSign.
